Stefano Quintarelli is a tech pioneer, entrepreneur, and policy leader, bridging innovation and governance. A former Italian MP, he led the Parliamentary Intergroup for Technological Innovation and served on the Chamber of Deputies’ Internet Rights Commission. Founder of I.NET—Italy’s first business ISP and a publicly listed unicorn (IPO oversubscribed 312x, later acquired by BT)—he co-founded Clusit (Italy’s cybersecurity association), AIPSI (security professionals), and AIIP (ISP association). As Chairman of Impara Digitale, he promotes digital education in schools. A global advisor, Quintarelli has led the Italian Digital Agency, served on the EU’s High-Level Expert Group on AI, and chaired the UN’s Advisory Group on Advanced Technologies (CEFACT). He’s now a Leadership Council member of the UN’s Sustainable Development Solutions Network and sits on the boards of Bollati Boringhieri Publishers and Copernicani NPO.
